Tracy has compassion and curiosity for each individual who enters her sessions. Her genuine care for others, their lives, and their challenges creates a healing environment for her clients. Her gentle nature makes each session warm, collaborative, and inviting. She works alongside her clients to explore new ways of experiencing and moving through the world, while shedding old traumas and overcoming life’s challenges.
Tracy uses a wide range of counselling approaches: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), existential counselling, and other trauma-informed practices. Tracy has a philosophy of integrating theoretical approaches to uniquely fit the client, rather than having the client fit into a standard approach.
Tracy has worked for the Ministry of Child and Family Development, Fraser Health Authority Outpatient, and Adult Short Term Assessment and Treatment. Tracy enjoys working with clients experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties, behavioral concerns, stress and work-life balance, low self-esteem, and loss of meaning or a sense of not living up to one’s full potential. Tracy feels passionate about working with immigrants, young adults, women, and LGBTQ+ communities. Tracy’s goal in life is to make this world a better place and she has chosen counselling as her profession of choice in order to be able to make a difference in her clients’ lives.
