WorkSafeBC Counselling

worksafebc counselling

Compassionate support as you recover and return to work.

Now more than ever, employees throughout British Columbia are in need of both physical health support for work-related injuries and mental health support that is also connected to such injuries. Expressions Counselling is a proud partner of WorkSafeBC, offering counselling and our group-based Occupational Skills and Support Group (OSS) to groups and individual clients with an active claim.

Our team of registered clinical counsellors offers eye movement and desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) in addition to compassionate, evidence-based trauma management for employees seeking effective recovery and a successful return to work.

Industries and Employees We Can Support

Case managers can connect with our qualified counsellors for their employee clients who have an active WorkSafeBC claim. Our services are offered to several industries and employees in need of personalized counselling, including:

  • First responders, nurses, firefighters, police officers, and community healthcare and office workers
  • Construction and trades professionals such as carpenters, electricians, and line workers
  • High-risk employees in the retail or hospitality industries who are injured while on the job
  • Commercial transportation employees

What are the Coverage Options for WorkSafeBC Counselling?

Clients accessing counselling through WorkSafeBC do not need to pay Expressions Counselling as WorkSafeBC is billed directly. You are reimbursed through WorkSafeBC, and we can even bill your benefits directly to them, depending on your claim entitlement. This can make the process of receiving counselling services even more convenient.

Please note that clients must have an accepted WorkSafeBC claim for a physical or psychological injury that occurred in the workplace in order to receive this coverage. Also, the number of approved WorkSafeBC individual or group sessions will depend on the claim entitlement.
