Julie specializes in supporting individuals in leadership and helping professions, as well as parents navigating family or life transitions. With twenty years of experience working with children and families and over a decade in leadership and team development, she brings a deep understanding of the systems that influence people’s lives. Julie has extensive experience working directly with children and youth, as well as a passion for supporting overwhelmed parents and caregivers. Julie brings practical strategies and support to high-functioning adults who struggle with perfectionism and self-expectation.
Her integrative approach draws on Person-Centered, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Emotion-Focused, Dialectical Behaviour and Existential Therapy. She weaves in mindfulness and meditation practices and emphasizes the restorative power of nature in supporting balance and wellbeing.
Beyond her counselling work, Julie is an avid coastal sailor who spends her summers exploring the Salish Sea aboard a small sailboat and enjoys the calm rhythm of life on her hobby farm. Whether connecting with friends over a good cup of coffee or spending time in nature, Julie finds inspiration in relationships, stories, and the ways our experiences shape who we are.
