Stacey Barclay

(She/Her)

Stacey meets each client with an energy of curiosity, warmth, and acceptance. She strives to create an environment that feels safe to explore the many different layers of who we are and what we come to sessions with. She assists clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique challenges, empowering them to move forward from a place of clarity.

Stacey is passionate about working with youth and adults who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, complex childhood experiences, addiction and recovery, depression, anxiety, sexuality-related challenges, and psychedelic integration. She also enjoys helping clients on a journey of personal discovery, seeking meaning and purpose in their lives.

Stacey works from an integrative approach. She utilizes Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Attachment, Psychodynamic, and Existential Theory. She also weaves over ten years of experience working as a clinical hypnotherapist and yoga/meditation teacher by introducing practices connected to mindfulness and somatic expression. She has worked with individuals and groups in addiction treatment centers, youth mental health services, adult and youth safe houses and community mental health settings. Her education and professional experiences are connected to a holistic framework which honours the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ourselves.

After encountering mental health challenges at a young age, Stacey stepped onto a path of exploration, studying, and experiencing what healing looks like for people across many different cultures. This journey has brought her to many diverse places and helped her see how we each hold our unique capacities to heal through connection to ourselves, others, and the world around us.  Stacey is currently a Master of Counselling student and is looking forward to making a difference in her clients’ lives as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in the future.
