Nathalie’s counselling approach is gentle and genuine. She supports clients by cultivating self-compassion in them regarding their healing journeys. She provides a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to reconnect to their bodies, express emotions, and explore their lives. She provides her clients with the opportunity to slow down and become mindful of their bodily sensations and listen to the wisdom that their bodies provide. By acknowledging and processing these feelings and sensations, her clients can live with more ease by reducing the disturbing physical experiences caused by their unprocessed emotions. Nathalie practices from an integrative, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed approach.
Nathalie has extensive experience in working with survivors of violence and sexual assaults and is passionate about helping clients who have experienced traumas. She takes pride in helping adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, immigration-related challenges, identity issues, and self-worth. Nathalie practices Somatic Experiencing Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Nathalie also practices Art Therapy with her clients who are artistically inclined. She believes that art therapy is about the process of making art to explore one’s emotions, fully experience them, and successfully process them. Nathalie’s art therapy practice is gentle, and it accommodates each client’s specific needs.
