Ambreen is authentic, intuitive, and warm with her clients. As a therapist, she aims to support clients in rediscovering themselves by exploring their lives with curiosity, creativity, and compassion. She believes that clients already have innate resources, and her role is to help them access these strengths.

Ambreen has an integrative approach, drawing on Narrative and mindfulness practices in working with shame, self-worth, anxiety, and grief. She is also an EMDR trauma therapist, helping her clients overcome PTSD, complex trauma, and the impacts of adverse childhood experiences. Moreover, Ambreen specializes in working with women who have experienced physical, mental, and sexual abuse in their early childhood, in their youth, in their past relationships, or their current partnerships. Lastly, Ambreen utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention when working with clients with perfectionist and OCD tendencies.

Ambreen brings years of experience working in the anti-violence sector from an anti-oppressive and social justice lens. She has worked with clients of organizations such as Battered Women’s Support Services and Surrey Women’s Centre. Ambreen is a philosopher at heart. Her humour, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard for clients are beautiful results of her evolving relationship with her own past trauma. When she is not working, Ambreen reads, paints, cooks, and spends quality time with her family.
