WorkBC Counselling Port Moody BC | Expressions Counselling

Finding employment, whether you’re wanting to become self-employed, you’re new at trying to find a job that best aligns with your strengths, or you’re wanting to return to a stable employment, is sometimes easier said than done. With the world and the job market in BC both constantly shifting, it can be tough to prioritize personal well-being while seeking out or returning to work.

As a proud partner of WorkBC Canada, Expressions Counselling offers personalized and compassionate therapy and counselling to individuals who are in need of such support.

When to Seek Our Services

Knowing when to seek counselling can help you best determine your mental health needs, even before you enter or re-enter employment.

  • General anxiety, stress, and depression
  • A lack of coping tools for emotional regulation or work-related stress
  • Learning challenges and difficulties that intervene with employment’s time and task management, e.g. autism, ADHD, etc.
  • Family and relationship challenges that may be intervening with the ability to focus at work
  • Physical challenges or injuries that intervene with your ability to receive or return to work

What is My Coverage Under WorkBC?

WorkBC offers up to 10 counselling sessions with a qualified registered clinical counsellor. In order to receive this coverage, you must have an active WorkBC file and be working with a WorkBC Case Manager toward obtaining or returning to employment.

What is the Difference Between
WorkBC and Self-Pay Counselling?

Clients accessing counselling through WorkBC do not need to pay Expressions Counselling as WorkBC is billed directly. You are reimbursed through WorkBC, and we can even bill your benefits directly to them, depending on your claim entitlement. This can make the process of receiving counselling services even more convenient.

Whether you’re navigating the hurdles that come with general anxiety, depression, and stress, you’re navigating both the physical and mental challenges of meeting work requirements, or you’re seeking support as you find your potential in the workforce, you’ll receive the same compassionate and evidence-based care from our team.
